ONCE, ALIENATION...
with the sky a hole I can take it all in
let my soul flow in free form
and my heartbeat pound in rhythm
with the massive pulse of the world tree:
he, whose branches had so sweetly bludgeoned
my muscle and bone, enraged at all that I am
as I spiraled down into whatever I was
I, in regard to my mother that is the final soil
raw mad life in the bark-eyes
first sight triggered mind fuck
even the sky an abysmal terror
on the face of me a hollow hell
a vertically scar-faced screen cleared by tears
where once could be seen nothing but love
until it clutched at a tree and met only scorn
imprisoned in eyes that could see only forward
hear no thoughts that cascade into sound
nor words that burn through flesh and bone
yet raw life in every bit of the body
let spirit burn through the orifices
like wind through a cave
my terrible howl pled the earth
join with the essence of me!
take me! I sense the wolves trying to break me
but how could one muzzle the snout of a poet
whose martyrdom erected each cock and each cunt
whose libido broke free from the structural cyclops
whose teeth would turn to bite cogwheels apart
whose paws, hoofs, hands, like of a weary pucelle
confessed into journals genes burned away by sunlight
eons ago in novas reflected off skyscraper monarchs.
thus the trees declared that none owned another
and dared each piece of possession explain itself.
to defeat time the bureaucrats stood numb as vines surged
no crime is passive so their feet turned into roots
once rooted, the city capitulated
and the leaves made the asphalt
their birthbed.
(yet) we aren't to be like trees
rooted in love not utterly free.
